How to Get Gum and Sticky Tack Out of Your Hair

Getting gum or sticky tack out of your hair might seem like a hopeless situation, but don't panic you can get it out without cutting your hair.

Gum is good to chew, but not so good in your hair....

Sticky tack works great for hanging up your children's artwork, but does not work well in your hair either....

Here is how you can get the gum or sticky tack out of your hair...

You can use peanut butter     or             Olive Oil.....

1.  Pin all the rest of your hair out of the way, you don't need it spreading any more.

2.  Work the peanut butter or olive oil into the affected area.  Rub it in really good between your fingers.

3.  Comb out the excess residue.  First with a large tooth comb and then a fine tooth comb.

This should do the trick!

  2. Yes it DOES work :) My daughter (who is six years old) was chewing dark blue gum and got it in her blonde hair. I used oily - Jif peanut butter and it worked like a charm. Thanks for your advice and videos :)

  3. I woke up to find blue tac in my daughter’s hair. A quick search revealed ice,or olive oil was the answer. Tried applying ice but no joy. Then applied olive oil to the hair and wrapped it in cling foil. Left for 15 minutes and it came out fine. Fantastic. No need to cut hair!!
